I’ve always been drawn to work that supports people through complex and often misunderstood experiences, including trauma, anxiety, and identity-related challenges. I received my Bachelor's in Child and Family Development from San Diego State University, where I became fascinated with the foster care system, which led me to the field of social work. I went on to receive my Master's of Social Work from Simmons University, where I further discovered that I loved providing therapy. I decided to become a clinical social worker, and never looked back.
I began working in community mental health, working with low-income and high-needs children and families in both pediatric and outpatient settings. Since then, I have been working with adolescents and adults in a virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP), providing a higher level of care for individuals navigating significant mental health challenges, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and neurodivergence. Over the past two years, my work has focused on adults, ages 18-65, experiencing life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, and neurodivergence, with a strong commitment to supporting LGBTQIA+ identifying folks.
In my free time, you can find me at my local dog shelter volunteering and fostering dogs, traveling to new states and countries, or catching up on the newest season of Grey’s Anatomy.
